People across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales are being asked for their views.
NHS Shropshire and NHS Telford & Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Groups are asking people in Shropshire to respond to consultation on improving local hospital services.
Local people are being encouraged to take the opportunity to comment on the proposed changes to the hospital services as NHS Future Fit consultation is into its final week.
NHS Future Fit intends to improve the hospital services provided at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury and the Princess Royal Hospital Telford to meet the needs of the local community.
The consultation, which closes at midnight on Tuesday 11th September 2018 asks people for their views on the two proposed options for delivering a new model of hospital care.
Dr Simon Freeman, Accountable Officer at NHS Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said: “We know that many people have strong opinions on the future of our hospital services and this is reflected in the number of responses we’ve received so far.
"If you feel strongly about this too but you haven’t responded to the consultation yet, I would urge you to tell us what you think – it should only take around 10 minutes to complete our online survey.”
David Evans, Chief Officer at NHS Telford CCG, added: “Thank you to the 14,000 people who have already submitted their response to our consultation, the 900 people who have attended one of our public events and the 2,000 people that have dropped by one of our pop-up displays.
"There’s now just one week left for you to tell us your views on the impact that either option would have on you and your family and share your thoughts and ideas. We are keen to hear from a wide range of people across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales so we can take into consideration all views before making a decision.”
The Future Fit public consultation will run until midnight on 11 September 2018. To take part in the survey visit www.nhsfuturefit.org or request a paper copy by calling 0300 3000 903 or email nhsfuturefit@nhs.net.
