The theme of the competition is "extraordinary women of Oswestry."
The poetry competition is inspired by the 15th century poem by Guto'r Glyn where he describes Oswestry women as second in beauty to those in Rome.
Entries can be submitted in English or Welsh and can be handed in at Oswestry Library or Museum, entrants may submit as many entries as they desire.
The closing date for entries is Thursday 13th September 2018 at 5pm.
